What a great morning we all had! A special thank you to Pizza Express Bury.

The trip involved:

· Meeting the Restaurant Manager, Bill, and their pizzaiolo (pizza chef).

· Bill ran through some important cooking basics. Things like washing hands and staying safe in the kitchen.

- We learnt where Margherita pizza originates from. We all guessed Italy. The answer was Egypt.

- We discovered just how important the fresh ingredients are to the pizza’s flavour. They get their tomato-based sauce all the way from Italy.

- We made our own individual pizzas

- The best part was eating them! They tasted delicious. We couldn't believe how many of the children ate the full pizza.
