1 World Book Day

The children enjoyed watching the BBC Live event, and having time to all read at the same time as the rest of the keystage. There were so many notable characters from their favourite books, and some of the children even collaborated to come as a group! Thank you so much to our parents for making World Book Day a riot of colour and costumes!

At present, our class novel that I read to them is Unlucky for Some: 18 Tales with a Bite for Vengeful Hearts by Julia Edwards. Although it's a series of short stories, there is a link between each of the stories which the children love to identify!

Revenge is sweet!

Have you ever had a dinnerlady you detested? Was there a teacher you couldn't stand? What about the kid who told laughable lies? Or the girl who spoiled every school trip? Or the boy who bullied the refugee kid?

These stories are for anyone who has ever gritted their teeth and wished someone else would get everything they deserved.

Giggle, gasp and gag at this collection of tales of misadventure and revenge, as thirteen people discover what it means to be unbelievably unlucky!
