Structure: Pavilions

The children made a variety of different shaped frame structures using toothpicks and plasticine. They found this fun, but challenging. They realised that to add strength and give their structure stability, they needed to make triangle shapes within their squares and rectangles. 

They then used this information to make pavilions using lollipop sticks. They then decided on a theme and cladding was added to their structure.
